Signal mirror
The mirror is based on one of the oldest and simplest signaling devices – sun reflection. A diver lost in the sea or on a desolate coast can use the sunlight and a mirror attracts the attention of a ship or a search plane even at a several-kilometer distance.
The mirror is made from stainless steel with increased resistance in seawater and is polished to a mirror-like shine. The sighting mirror is based on the principle of the fusion of the image of the sun and its reflection in the back, also the mirror-polished side of the mirror. This way of localization is not commonly known, yet it is simple and accurate. The instructions for use are on the backside of the mirror. If you don’t know this principle of localization, we encourage you to try it.
