The ability to streamline the diver's body and equipment in the water has significant advantages. Low drag reduces the effort needed to move through the water. The less effort, the better our gas consumption and the more time we get on our underwater adventure. The goal of a properly fitted system is to stay tight to the diver's body and cylinder. The effort is reduced, enjoyment of the dive is enhanced.
Expert Recreational and Technical divers will almost exclusively use wing-style BC systems. A wing will hold you horizontal in the water, achieving that awesome and flat trim position that enhances safety, reduced entanglements, and allows for greater efficiency in the water. Overall, this improves gas consumption and team awareness.
Significant advantages in trim and balance can be gained by moving weight pockets up the body, off the hips, and keeping them closer to the cylinder. No longer will you feel the lead dragging you down into a seahorse position--further assists weight distribution for all women divers'.

Nitro Bands Are Killer!!!
Big Shout Out To AQUI WATER SPORTS!! THANK YOU Aqui Water Sports for hooking it up with new Nitro Bands for my JBL SpearGun. It took Ryan and Tylor at the shop minute's to get me set up and on my way for my spearfishing season. The same afternoon I was able to go out and shoot a nice Snapper with my gun that had been sitting for 2 seasons and definitely needed some TLC from AQUI. In no time the guys had it broken down and cleaned like new. The staff at AQUI are always knowledgeable about gear, and provide excellent guidance on your specific needs. Great Webbing
Bought 15’ of the Orange 2” webbing. 15’ is more than enough for my size but I had never set up a backplate and wing harness before and didn’t know how much I would need. With that being said after I disassembled my other harness and fitted the new one 11’ is the amount of webbing I need for my XDeep backplate and what I will be ordering in the future. For size comparison I am 5’10” and weight 170lbs. I left about 24” on the right side waste harness and then routed the rest through the XDeep backplate. With the webbing cut to 11’ it still leaves an extra 20” to 24” on my left side after attacking the buckle. I just routed that back down the side under my attached weight pockets just in case I gain some weight in the future. Hope this review helps others!
