This is NOT your standard compression clamp.  The AC42 Extended version features a highly robust design, strong compression, and allows for a greater range of motion when connected to the Arms of Light joints. Also, you can attach a lanyard or line with a snap to the clamp for additional security of your system.

The clamp itself allows for greater security when screwing down the handle as one side is not affected like a standard clamp. Given the wider assembly, and the redesign of the ball joint seat, you'll have a stronger hold and more flexibility.
